After the Flour Fusion experiment I began testing the footage in some of my after effects projects and found them to be quite useful and interesting. So later this week, I’ve decided to post some Free HD clips for everyone to try. This comp was created using some snow images placed in 3D space. This serves as a MUCH needed improvement over the CC Snow effect because of the customizable nature of Trapcode Particular. If you’re new to After Effects or don’t already own Trapcode Particular I highly recommend downloading a free trial from Red Giant’s website. — One man is dead and his 2-year-old child has minor injuries after a snow mobile accident in the Town of Perinton Sunday afternoon.The operator of the snow mobile — 34-year-old David Prince of Perinton, was sitting behind his 2-year-old child — when the snow mobile went down a hill and struck a fence and then a tree on Kurt Road, authorities say. After Effects comes with a native CC Snow effect that is pretty good for creating realistic snow. In fact, I would say that 50% of the time, the CC Snow effect is completely adequate. However, if you really want to make your snow super-realistic, use this technique that utilizes the Trapcode Particular plugin.
